Merlin

I’m a big fan of the tv show Merlin, and thanks to Netflix managed to watch a ton of episodes in a very short period of time. Doing so tends to scramble the brain and make you an instant fanatic, and I started looking into the legends of Merlin and Arthur, and also read ‘The Crystal Cave’ by Mary Stewart (given to me by the man I love). This character started coming to life in my head, beyond the bounds of the show, and I found myself one night drawing him. Or just an old druidy guy in a cloak, who knows. But I’d never quite drawn anything like it before, and found something very intense in the face that peered out from the page at me after I’d done.

I put it up in the dining room at one point and came back to find both of our cats sitting down close to each other, both facing the drawing.

Our cats hate each other. %)
