I’m an artist

First post! (after many tests of course) I wanted this to be fairly special as I’m creating this site to celebrate what I can do. Many years ago, while working in Yellowstone National Park, enjoying photography for the first time, and drawing *some* of the time, I came across a herd of buffalo (as you do), and drew the face of one as it slept. Looking at the drawing I did (which I still have, somewhere), I realized that I was an artist. I’d never really owned that idea before, and at that moment I did, and it was wonderful.

So this site is a reminder to myself to keep practicing (both in photography and drawing) and celebrate what I am – an artist. :)

Hence the sleepy buffalo. ;)
